5 More Reasons Why I Long To Have Financial Freedom

I love to live the life I love.

     1. Sending kids to a good school. Experts said, it is best to send a child to a good school for his early education because this is the period where his educational foundation is mostly developed. It is best that he is well-developed at an earlier age.
I'll be sending my son to school this year's opening. As a mother I want the best for him. I don't want to rely solely on the governement for the future of my son. To ensure the attainment of my son's dreams in the near future, I've go to be financially free.

     2. Retiring independently. This is where most Filipinos fall short. Most of us do not consider saving for retirement. We thought what we receive from the Social Security in our retirement would be enough for us - that's what we've been accustomed to believe. But, no. Time has changed so much differently from the past.
I got this lesson from my mother and mother-in-law. My mother does not have any pension at all. My mother-in-law at least have but only a small amount because she is just a survivor of her husband. Both women still in one way or another need their children for financial support. Honestly, I do not want to end up like them when I am in retiree age. I do not want to become a dependent parent when I grow old. If God blesses me with longer years on earth, I want to spend it doing the things I love while enjoying financial freedom.

     3. Extending financial help. Not all people have the capability to turn their not so fortunate lives around and thus enjoy financial freedom. It always tear my heart to say no when family, relatives, or friends want to borrow money from me. I want to help but my income is enough for my family, and not even enough if we are to live outside of frugality. Yes, I love to help. Having financial freedom it would be easy for me to do this.

     4. Earning respect. Sounds awkward doesn't it? I don't know in other countries, but in the Philippines this holds true. When you are rich, you are a friend of the rich and the poor. But when you are poor, sometimes even the poorest of the poor will look down on you. Because, you can give nothing. They couldn't take anything from you.
I love to have financial freedom not so much to earn respect from this kind of people, but to tell the world, especially those who believed I am some kind of worm (poor self-esteem? huhu!), "hey, I have now financial freedom what can you say?" Hehehe. And I'll give them some treats.

     5. Becoming a hands-on Mom. I love to be, really, really love to be staying at home taking care of my husband and the kids while earning. I love to personally see to it that everything goes on so well in my family within the bounds of my capability. I love to teach my kids many things, beautiful things. This could only be made possible when I attain financial freedom.

With these reasons, I am willingly embarking toward the road to financial freedom. God be with me.
